A stroll through the village on a long summer evening, or a wander along the sea front, taking in the magnificence of Loch Broom, is a memorable experience and a fitting climax to anyone's day.

Ullapool, situated on Loch Broom, and established in 1788, is unique. Having celebrated it's bicentennial in 1988, it began as a port to which huge herring catches were brought, and whilst still a thriving fishing centre, it has become a very important holiday resort with it's wide range of activities.

The village has great charm, most of it's delightfully laid out original architecture having retained it's character.

Ullapool has a range of restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, live entertainment, museum & library, sea fishing, loch fishing, deer stalking, golf course, car hire & cycle hire, ferry to Stornoway and boat cruises.
